CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

What clients are saying about Promoting Greater Success Coaching Collaborative?

It is my honor to offer this recommendation on behalf of Dr. Donna Johnson, an extraordinary educator, organizer, and youth and community advocate with whom the Leona Tate Foundation for Change (LTFC) and the TEP Center have had the privilege of collaborating over the past several years. Donna and her team at Promoting Greater Success Coaching Collaborative have consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to helping our organizations to achieve its full potential and the expertise to help us to make it happen. Their work embodies the values at the heart of our mission—educating, engaging, and empowering communities to challenge systems of inequity through awareness and action.

Promoting Greater Success brings deep professional insights to its work, buffered by years of professional experience. Its coaches were in the trenches with leadership, helping us to solve problems in real time, and to realign our goals. They helped us to blend compassion and accountability in our approach towards our employees, and employee retention and engagement rose considerably. We created a work world where people feel both seen, equipped to lead and to are appropriately skilled to get their jobs done.

Donna M. Johnson has been an active community member and outstanding proponent of teaching excellent and full history for all the time I have known her. I think what most strikes me about Ms. Johnson is her focus on activism in every facet of her work, whether it be canvassing in the Ninth Ward, teaching, designing a focus group for further research, or simply chatting with a coworker. She continually makes sure to go beyond a single story of history to encompass previously undertold – and at times, untold – histories, including her focus on Black and Indigenous voices and focus on Black women specifically.

Donna’s expertise covers a wide range of areas, including teaching, leadership, instructional planning, curriculum and course development. She is also skilled in administration and program design, implementation, management and evaluation. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Donna in several areas, including as recently as this past year. For instance, I was able to take twenty students to help canvas and phonebank at the Tate, Etienne, and Prevost Center last fall regarding proposed amendments to the Louisiana Constitution. Donna was central to the Youth Justice and Voting Summit in 2024 and integral to our participation every step of the way, especially in her connecting us to Step Up Louisiana as a parent association to aid in training our youth.

Additionally, Ms. Johnson designed from scratch a Black Girl Studies class from January-May 2025. My class participated as a focus group in the Participatory Action Research Capstone Project. Students followed their research with youth voting, volunteerism, and civics presentations.

I enthusiastically recommend Donna for any position, particularly one concerning research, education or organizing. She would absolutely be an asset to the institution. She is analytical, eager to implement feedback, and meticulous with her work, and she is an excellent collaborator, educator and leader. Any program would be lucky to have her.

Please feel free to contact me at 540-817-9200 if you need any additional information or clarification.

Dr. Donna has been an active education community member and active proponent of teaching excellence for all the time I have known her. I partnered with Johnson initially on teaching projects, and on a citywide Youth Justice and Voting Summit in 2024, along with her team. Dr. Donna brings a network of knowledgeable professionals to the work, who ended up helping us in many areas of need, including strategic planning, program design, teaching, administration, community partnerships, youth development, and program evaluation.

PGSCC would absolutely be an asset to any institution. They are analytical, eager to collect and implement feedback, meticulous in their work, and are excellent collaborators.

I highly recommend Promoting Greater Success Coaching Collaborative for a contract with your organization. We at the Broadmoor Improvement Association (BIA) in New Orleans (Louisiana) has had the pleasure of working closely with Dr. Johnson for many years and can attest to her exceptional skills, dedication, and invaluable contributions to our community. The coaches within her network are also top notch. They began work with our organization during challenging rebuilding years from 2018 to 2020. We were still rebounding from damage caused by Storm Katrina. PGSCC’s contributions spanned across various crucial areas, showcasing the team’s versatility and dedication. They worked closely with our leadership team and played a pivotal role in our reestablishing the organization after it had lapsed. They also helped us to move from financial adversity to years of clean audits. PGSCC’s expertise, hands-on approach and innovative thinking led the BIA to adopt a new distributive leadership structure that still serves us well today. They really are the experts at driving positive change and results.
